Medal Winner at Derbyshire open

Jackie's piece 'Derbyshire;a Bird's Eye View' is not the usual style of work submitted to the Derbyshire Open Art Competition. Origami birds folded from o.s. maps of Derbyshire and suspended from steel mesh, shocked the judges into awarding a commendation medal at this year's event.
As next year marks the 30th Derbyshire Open Art Competition, hopefully this will be the start of more innovative and contemporary work being introduced in the future.
